Oh What a Night! Update from Thumbuddy Special

Friends of Thumbuddy Special:

On Aug 9th, 7 children with special needs received a new ipad with the appropriate apps, a case and the warranty. It was a very powerful night, watching the child connect with their families through the communication apps that are now available. We are honored to assist these families and to help these beautiful children access their world.

Our communication scholarship in loving memory of Joan McCann, this year purchased 11 ipads and communication equipment for 5 other children. It was a pleasure working with our friends at DuPage Easter Seals on this exciting project.

We are grateful for your generous support in assisting Thumbuddy Special in making these simple wishes come true!

Here are some of the words of thanks from our families:

“On behalf of our Stephano, we want to thank Thumbuddy Special and Easter Seals. They have opened a door of communication for our little son and for that, we’ll be eternally grateful. Now you may enjoy that exceptional rewarding feeling that your help is really appreciated. Keep making these miracles happening for Special Families. God Bless you all.”

“We want to thank you for the wonderful gift of the iPad for our son, Jack. He has been very frustrated with his inability to communicate, and it is only getting worse as he gets older and realizes what he is missing out on. With the iPad, Jack’s world will suddenly be an easier and happier place for him. Thank you again – we can’t wait to start using it with him!”
