Happy Fall!
Summer was exceptionally busy for Thumbuddy Special! We awarded over $15,000 in summer camp scholarship for children with special needs to have fun! Here are a few pictures of summer camp adventures!
In July we had the 2nd Annual Bike Giveaway at Bemis Woods, a perfect day for a bike ride! This year TS sponsored 8 new adapted bikes for our kids. Nothing beats a kid on a new bike!
Just last week we awarded Paulina’s family an adapted van with a lift.
Mom, Lily was thrilled and wrote this sweet note…
“I already saw a big difference with Paulina. It takes a lot of her energy just getting in and out of a car. But tonight she had enough energy left to walk up the stairs to the house slowly but safely. We are still pinching ourselves. It’s so hard to believe what just happened. Thank you so so much again. I’m looking at the van right now and thanking you and Thumbuddy Special.”

We are gearing up for the Season of Giving with our Moms Day Out Event scheduled for November 4th. We are treating moms of children with severe autism to a day of pampering, shopping and dinner. It is a powerful day of camaraderie, where moms share their trials and joys!
