Happy Easter from Thumbuddy Special

Thumbuddy Special wishes you and your families a Blessed Easter!

We were lucky enough to receive over 500 stuffed animals from our friends at Kohls in Downers Grove. I was lucky enough to be the Easter Bunny to deliver the animals to over 200 Early Childhood Children in Berwyn. So darn cute, the faces of 3-4-year-old children!

BULLS GAME!!! Another wonderful night out was made possible by Jim Compton. Through Jim’s kindness, Thumbuddy Special was able to treat 5 young adults with a family member to a fabulous night at the Bulls Game. All of these kids have Muscular Dystrophy. We were in a suite! It was truly a night to remember!
Here is a thank you note from Hugo.

Dear Jim,
I wanted to say thank you from my family to yours. I had so much fun and it was a great way to bring us all together. I had been to games before but never had I been that close and with such style and elegance, it was truly surreal. That experience is something I will never forget and something I will carry with me. Thumbuddy Special is a huge blessing in my life and in the lives of many other students with disabilities. Bringing us together in such a beautiful setting shows us that others see more in us and it inspires us to continue to reach for our dreams. Thanks for making this be a dream come true for not just myself but others as well. It was such a wonderful gift that is greatly appreciated. God bless. Thanks.

Sincerely,
Hugo & Family

Carlucci Night was a huge success, thank you to all who attended and those who donated prizes and silent auction items. We were able to raise over $10,000. Megan and Eddy were the recipient of the “Kids on the Go Scholarship”. The following is her thank you….

I’m not even sure on where to begin because the words “THANK YOU” will never come close to showing my appreciation for the kindness and generosity that this organization has shown to me and my son. It is not always easy to care for a special needs child and it comes with a lot of expense. Knowing I no longer have to make my van payment has given me the ability to put that money towards other necessities for my son. I feel God puts people in our lives for a reason and I never thought anything like this would happen to me. I will be forever grateful for all you have done… from listening to my story, the Mom’s Day Out, along with the check for my van. Your kind gestures speak volumes. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me and all the other families out there.

Sincerely,
Megan Keys & Eddie
